For the Numenor Kings, it’s not how you start, but how you finish. That’s the mantra the team is following after today qualifying for the playoffs.
“We may be going into the playoffs as a wild card team, but we plan to finish the playoffs as champions,” said left fielder Màrku Hammersmelter. “There’s no shortage of confidence from guys in our clubhouse.”
With a record of 85-77, there will of course be teams with better track records in the postseason. But team manager Vugnar Mithrilhammer said his club has “infinite optimism” that they can win the franchise’s 3rd Tolkien Baseball championship.
