Almost There: Bywater On Cusp of Series Triumph After 2-0 Win

Hsin-ping Sandybanks pitched a gem to help the Bywater Bounders escape with a tight, 2-0 victory over the Old Forest Merry Fellows in a low-scoring Fellowship Series contest. The left-handed Sandybanks threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball in the win, just enough for the Bounders on a day when their offense dried up. Bywater now leads the best-of-7 series 3-1.

The Merry Fellows had trouble solving Sandybanks, who surrendered no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings.

“I’m just trying to make sure I’m focused for each and every pitch,” said Sandybanks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 15th , 2051.
