The Old Forest Merry Fellows started the Fellowship Series in style, downing the visiting Bywater Bounders at Shire Greens Stadium by a score of 7-4 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Merry Fellows first baseman Tugbu the Squasher went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.
Nurn, Unknown Lands native Tugbu the Squasher had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Merry Fellows. With Old Forest trailing 3-2, he hit a grand slam home run.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win,” the Squasher told the Old Forest News.
