The Dol Guldur Dragons wasted no time taking the lead in the Fellowship Series, beating the Lothlorien Lumberjacks at Celebrant Field by the score of 7-4. The win gives Dol Guldur a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Dragons right-hander Dilo Covalchuc threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run.
In the top of the first, Fastolph Grub ambushed a 0-1 fastball from Perian Aispro and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Dol Guldur a quick 2-0 lead.
“I feel like a little kid every time I put the uniform on,” said Grub.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Celebrant Field in Caras Galadhon.
