Critical Game 5 Goes to Host Kings, 3-1

Game 5 was big. So was Dejala Miramontes.

In leading Numenor to a crucial 3-1 victory over the Dol Guldur Dragons at Capital One Stadium, the Numenor starter rose to the occasion, tossing 6.2 good innings. Miramontes threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball as the Kings defended their home field to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Two Towers Series.

Miramontes was in the zone, shutting down Dol Guldur hitters over 6.2 innings. Miramontes, who threw 90 pitches, allowed no runs on 1 hit. She also tallied 8 punchouts.

“I liked her command,” said Numenor manager Vugnar Mithrilhammer. “Dejala was throwing strikes.”

Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Dol Guldur Stadium.
