The Carrock Bears started the Ultimate Championship in style, downing the visiting Andelain Giants at Old League Park by a score of 7-2 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Bears designated hitter Justin Armortearer was 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That’s when Armortearer hit a 2-run home run off Déagol Bracewaith. It propelled the Bears into the lead, 2-0.
“Good pitching stops good hitting,” said Armortearer. “And vice-versa.”
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Thursday, November 9th , 2051.
