As it turns out, the Dagorlad Disaster are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Numenor Kings 6-2 tonight at Dagorlad Memorial Stadium in order to win the Hobbit Series and book a place in the next round.
“It wasn’t hard to get excited for this game,” said Gwill, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. “Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about.”
Gwill hit .333 with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Dagorlad Disaster will play against the Lothlorien Lumberjacks in the next round. Lothlorien had a bye in the Hobbit Series. The Fellowship Series schedule will be announced after the Hobbit Series finishes.
