Carrock Tops Rivendell Again, 4-0

When he got to Carrock, Truzguh the Malicious was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Two Towers Series.

The 21-year-old rookie left-hander shut out the visiting Rivendell Royals, 4-0, in a remarkable performance at Old League Park. With the win, the Bears took a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 Two Towers Series.

In the bottom of the third, Carrock shortstop Flambard Cervandas had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Cervandas stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Carrock. For the game, he was 1-3 with a walk.

“Makes our job easier,” said Cervandas, “when our pitchers shut the opposition down.”

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Royals Stadium.
