The Dol Guldur Dragons got a strong performance from pitcher Iver Durieux, who stymied the Dagorlad offense en route to a 1-0 win in Game 2 of the Two Towers Series. The Disaster could never get a bead on the left-handed Durieux, who threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The Dragons now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.
Durieux, a native of Andunie, Human Lands, was dealing all game. He kept Dagorlad hitters off-balance, while giving the Dragons 6 quality innings. Durieux threw 106 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.
In postgame remarks, Durieux hailed his team’s “mettle.”
