The Carrock Bears have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Narnia Badgers, winning, 5-1, at Badgers Ballpark. Bears right-hander Sudeep Blunt threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Bears to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Ultimate Championship.
Carrock used a clutch at-bat from Mubgorg Ghoulslicer to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Bears ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
“Sudeep has got a slow heartbeat,” said Carrock manager Tigia Eladriendel. “He doesn’t panic or anything.”
