Game 5 was big. So was Nieven Stryjski.
The Carrock starter rose to the occasion at Badgers Ballpark, leading the Bears to a crucial 4-2 victory over the Narnia Badgers. Stryjski threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball as the Bears won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Ultimate Championship.
Had Legeron Kidneycrusher not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Kidneycrusher hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Bears.
“Nieven made his pitches,” said Carrock manager Tigia Eladriendel.
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, November 12th , 2052 at Old League Park.
