Fairies Get New Owner

BUCKLAND - At 62-89, The Bucklebury Fairies are a shadow of their former selves. As the Lonely Mountain Losers, they took the SC Dwarf Division flag in 2003, winning 104 games. In 2004, they won 100 games, took the Shire Wild Card spot, and made it all the way to the Return of the King Series. This season, with essentially the same lineup, the team is a distant third behind Bree and Carrock. Part of this may be due to the unfortunate departure of team owner and spiritual advisor, Miz Dos (designer of the League trophies and several team logos). She left the team under mysterious circumstances, though rumor has it that she was kidnapped by orcs during one of her frequent trips into their terrirtory. In any case, the Fairies have been under League control for the last half of the season.
As of today, the team from Buckland is leaderless no more. Commissioner Rasreth announced that the Fairies have been purchased by Xade. Even though the season is essentially over, the new owner immediately moved in to take charge of the team. "We've been seeing some sloppy ball all year, just because they didn't have Miz D around to tuck them into bed and sing kumbaya with 'em. I don't care if there's only 12 games left. That crap ends now," he said.
